Pinstripes

Pinstripes are defined by their raised/higher 'crests' running alonw each side of their dorsal (back). While there are full and partial 'pinners' available, we only focus on the FULL pinstripped animals.

As you can see, they vary greatly in body color and other features. We are working on the extreme dark, some lighter, and ultimately will be refining our 'red' pinstripe crested geckos.  While there are many 'variations' of Pinners, our preference is for very dark bodied, golden sided animals.  the more gold the better.

One unique quality we found in the genetics of true full pin-stripes is the propensity for this trait to carry on from generation to generation.  Working with full pin-stripes seems to assure the breeder of a good number of full pinners in future generations.

Red

"From the best RED bloodlines around. We have been working on this line for over 10 years! Our ‘fire-engine’ red line is our something to behold. From Red Bull (to the right) and Lucy to Venus to Red Red Wine to our newer groups- Red Cardinal and Lady Bug.

We take pride in the fact that we have seen the percentage of RED babies produced from each year’s new groups increase year after year. Our original pair (Red Bull and Lucy) produced around 30 percent RED babies. Our groups- well over 60%! No crested gecko traits is guaranteed of course but we are working on it.

It is a well known fact that I love the REDS. We are working this color into many other crestie traits. Our REDS are the basis for our Red Harley and Red Pinstripe lines as well. Only the best.

Red Flames/Harleys

St Nick sm

To me, Red Harleys are the cream of the crop!  The Hope Diamond of geckos-  The Baby Ruth of cresties.  Top of the Line!  Red Harley.... there is no substitute.

But our direction is not just producing a red harley.  Our direction is producing the reddest, creamiest red harley.  We are working on the reddest of reds and the creamiest of creams.  We've crossed our Red line with our Mocha line.

Crazy you may say.  When the babies hatch, we get a bunch of reds, a number of mochas, and others from this project.   But on that rarest of occasion, we get a phenomenal red with a phenomenal, high white cream dorsal and harley colors.  You can see the results in St. Nick above.

Please note!  When Red Harley babies hatch, they do NOT look like red harleys.  They look like any other crested gecko.  In fact, St. Nick was taken to several reptile shows to be sold-  until he started firing up around 5 months of age-  and he came home with me to stay for good.

Again, these are SUPER rare in the hobby and they take longer than any other crested gecko trait to see the true colors.  A quality Red Harley crested gecko will always reside at the top of our list and, if pricing in the hobby is an indication, they are tops with other hobbyist as well.

Mocha

Mocha

Normally, one thinks of a Mocha as a rich, chocolate color.

I think of Mocha as a DARK DARK chocolate with ample whipped cream lavished on top.  The This would describe our Mocha line perfectly. To be a Mocha, the side and dorsal (back) pattern MUST be thick and white cream.

It's almost like someone took white birthday cake frosting and smeared it all over the gecko.  See what I am saying with one of our top geckos-  Mocha (to the right).

As it is not just the dark dark brown colors that make this a special animal, it is the creamy, almost wedding cake frosting layers of white dorsal and harlequin patterns on the side.  This line not only produces some of the most outstanding animals in our collection but also produces unbelievable babies when combined with just about any other trait we have.

Dalmatians

Dalmatians are a very special trait of crested geckos.  Some keepers love them, some do not.  I am in the middle.

I do not mind a few dalmatians on a colorful crestie.  However, to see an animal full of huge, ink-spot dalmatians is really special.  I feel these are some of the rarest crested geckos.

We are working toward that Super Dalmatian but it is not easy.  Of the animals on this page, I would not consider any to be supers....  but we are getting closer.

A Super Dalmatian is definitely an animal that you recognize right away.

As I've heard before, if you have any questions whether the dalmatian you are looking at Is or Is Not a super dalmatian, then it probably is not.

Harleys

A Harley is not just a Harley.   We are working on a number of features on our harlequin projects- including color, increased harley color, head structure, tri-color, and heavy dorsal patterns.

Developing the best harleys requires years and years of selective breeding and an intense focus on the genetics.  One characteristic I really enjoy seeing in a Harley is the nice cake frosting thick pattern on the dorsal and sides.  Check out Cerberus (Greek mythology's 3 headed dog-  Cerberus is a fantastic Tri-Color Harley) to the right.  This is what we strive for at Supreme Gecko.

Whether it is dark, light, cream sicle, or some other color, we are making strides to produce the best we can.
